Chandler is a city that is located in Maricopa County, Arizona. Chandler covers a total area of about 58 square miles and is one of the fastest growing municipalities in the United States. Chandler borders Phoenix to the West, Tempe to the North and West, Gilbert to the East and Mesa to the North. 

Dr. Alex Chandler, a veterinary surgeon settled on a ranch South of Mesa to study irrigation engineering. He bought about 18,000 acres of land for a town site in 1900, and by 1913, a town center had been established.

It experienced exponential growth since the 1990s and has been ranked as one of the fastest growing municipalities in the US. It has actually grown so fast that it reached its physical limits meaning that Chandler cannot expand outward anymore.

Notable residents or natives of Chandler include rapper and actor Ice T as well as former heavyweight boxer Zora Folley.

Chandler has satellite locations for technology companies such as Intel, and it also has numerous parks, restaurants and retail centers. This is a plus for those people who want to get married in Chandler as they can easily do all the shopping for their wedding.
