Glendale is a city located in Maricopa County, Arizona. Glendale is about 9 miles from downtown Phoenix. It covers an area of approximately 55.8 square miles and is bordered by Phoenix to the South and East, Litchfield Park and Buckeye to the West and Phoenix, Peoria, El Mirage and Surprise to the North.

Glendale is notable for being home to the University of Phoenix Stadium which is known for its roll-out natural grass field. This stadium has been featured in the History Channel and has hosted Super Bowl as well as Wrestle Mania.

There are several notable natives or reside of Glendale including NASCAR driver Michael McDowell as well as singer Jordin Sparks.
