Mesa was registered as a 1 square mile town site in 1878 with the arrival of Daniel Webster Jones and other people from St. George, Utah. It was incorporated in 1887 but it was not until the opening of Williams Field and Falcon Field in the 1940s that there was a population and industrial growth.

Like other states in Maricopa County, Mesa holds many weddings each year. Couples can go to Antique Wedding House and marry there. This wedding venue has received many Wedding Wire Brides Choice Awards, and you can be sure to like it. You can also have the reception there.

However, for couples who want an alternative place for a reception in Mesa, there is Stonebridge Manor where you can treat your guests to a lavish reception. Like Antique Wedding House, it can also host weddings. The advantage with Stonebridge Manor is that it can host wedding all year round because it has climate controlled venues.

There is also Arizona's Bridal Warehouse where the bride can shop for about wedding dresses and purchase the one which she fancies. The mother of the bride can also get something elegant to wear to the wedding and the bridesmaids dresses can also be bought there. If the couple is in need of other accessories, they can also be bought from Arizona’s Bridal Warehouse.

With an average of over 300 days of sun a year, Mesa is a good place to marry and live weather-wise.
