Cudahy City is the second smallest city in Los Angeles County, California. It is one of the "Gateway Cities" and has one of the highest population densities in the United States. The population of Cudahy is predominantly Latino immigrants and has a population of almost 24,000.

Cudahy has is just over 1.2 square miles of which 95% is land.  It is bordered by South Gate on the south and southeast, Bell on the north, Bell Gardens on the east  and Huntington Park on the west.  

The city was recently subjected to a major political corruption incident and the former Mayor and City Manager pleaded guilty to bribery and extortion for supporting the opening of a medical marijuana dispensary.  They are each now facing 30 years in prison.
