Duarte City is in Los Angeles County and surrounded by the San Gabriel Mountains, Monrovia, and Azusa. The city is 6.7 square miles and was officially incorporated on August 22, 1957. The land was originally owned by Andres Duarte, but he had to sell most of it to pay off his debts. Over time the land was separated into individual lots.

Duarte is located on U.S. Route 66 which goes through the heart of the city. Every third weekend in September the city hosts the "Salute to Route 66" parade. 

Duarte City has everything you need to plan your wedding including bridal accessories, flowers, and caterers. You can find everything from flattering plus size dresses at David's Bridal to matching shoes, jewelry, handbags, and lingerie. Fredrico's Bakery has a wide array of designs and flavors for you to customize your wedding cake and if you do not like one of their designs you are welcome to bring in a picture of your own for them to re-create.

In your free time you can visit Pamela Park and enjoy the recreational facilities. Pamela Park also has a variety of events including concerts and movies in the park and the annual Battle of the Bands competition.
