Huntington Park is in Los Angeles County and is 3 square miles. It is named for the famous industrialist Henry Huntington. The city was incorporated in 1906. It was primarily white until the 1990's when the Latino population moved into the area from East Los Angeles.

Huntington Park is considered a major retail center for the Los Angeles area and is also known for manufacturing metal, glass, and rubber products. About 30% of Huntington Park residents work at nearby factories in Vernon or Commerce.
