Inglewood is part of Los Angeles County. It was the first city to be taken out of the 25,000 acres of Centinela Ranch. It remained a small city until the earthquake of 1920. People came to see the damage the earthquake did, and stayed because of the climate. At one time, Inglewood was the fastest growing city in the United States during the 1920's from 1920-1925.
Inglewood is also famous for Randy´s Donuts, a landmark building, characterized by the large donut on top. It was featured in a multitude of films, including Volcano, 2012, and Iron Man 2. The giant structure on top has been a design inspiration for other donut chains.
