Sierra Madre City, also known as "Wistaria City" or "Village of the Foothills", is located in Los Angeles County at the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains. It is surrounded by the Angeles National Forest, Pasadena, and Arcadia. Sierra Madre is a primarily White community, but also has a Chinese, Japanese, Hispanic, Black, and Native American presence. The area was originally home to the Tongva Native Americans.

The city received the All-America City Award in 2007.

Sierra Madre is a great city for a wedding. You can have your ceremony and reception at Villa del Sol d'Oro, which is built in Italian Renaissance style, and was used as a location for a variety of commercials, television shows, and movies, including The Princess Diaries, Legally Blonde, A Walk in the Clouds, Bones, and CSI. We also found a variety of resources to help with your wedding planning. The city has vendors for wedding bouquets, accessories, wedding cakes, and other necessities.

Sierra Madre has many options for recreation.  You can watch live theater at Sierra Madre Playhouse or visit the historical museum, Lizzie's Trail Inn. The city is also in close proximity to Easton Canyon Natural Park and Nature Center, where you can hike or ride, and view various native plants and wildlife.
