Fullerton is a city in Orange County, California. It covers an area of about 22.3 square miles and it is named after George Fullerton. The city of Fullerton borders Anaheim to the South, Brea and La Habra to the North, Buena Park to the West and Placentia to the East. It is located about 25 miles from downtown Los Angeles and just 11 miles from Santa Ana.

Fullerton was founded by George and Edward Amerige, who heard that the California Central railroad was looking for land, and they looked for land in order to take advantage of these developments. However, it was not until oil was discovered and drilling began, that the city received a real development boom.

Fullerton is associated with several notable people such as MLB player Gary carter, who is also in the MLB Hall of Fame. There is also songwriter and folk music singer Jackson Browne.

Presently, Fullerton is home to several educational institutions and also has a vibrant music scene.
