Cathedral City is a city that is located in Riverside County, California with a population of approximately 51,000 residents.   The city is 21.8 square miles in size.  

The city actually began as a subdivision in 1925 and did not incorporate until 1981.  However, in that time, the city grew 4-5 times.  There are several cemeteries located in Cathedral City which are frequented by tourists.  There is Forest Lawn, Cathedral City Cemetery and Desert Memorial Park.  Many people come to visit because of the celebrities that are buried there such as Frank Sinatra, Sonny Bono and Dinah Shore are but a few.
