Desert Hot Springs City

Desert Hot Springs, which is named for its natural hot springs, is located in Riverside County.

The first settler in the area was Cabot Yerxa, who arrived in 1913. He is credited with finding the natural hot springs and cold aquifers on "Miracle Hill". His home, which is built in Pueblo Revival Style, is one of the oldest adobe buildings in the county and was designated as a historical site after his death. Desert Hot Springs was officially founded by L.W. Coffee on July 12, 1941.

During the 1950's, Desert Hot Springs became a popular tourist destination. The city's groundwater is ranked among the best in the nation.

The city is very diverse, with a large Central American, Korean, Jewish, and Native American population.

We found resources in Desert Hot Springs to help you find essentials on your wedding checklist, including caterers, venues, and wedding flowers. You can have your rehearsal dinner in the private meeting room at Capri Restaurant and your reception in the glass atrium at Miracle Springs Resort.  Bar One Complete Beverage Catering can provide your party with a full service bar, or you can let the staff at Miracle Springs Resort take care of all the details.

Make sure you take some time to visit Cabot's Pueblo Museum and relax in the "healing" mineral waters at one of Desert Hot Springs' award-winning spas.
