Lake Elsinore, also known as LE, is a city that is located in Riverside County, California with a population of approximately 52,000 residents. The city is 36.2 square miles in area.  

Lake Elsinore was incorporated on April 9, 1888 which was just 33 years after California became a state.  It was the 73rd California city to be incorporated.  Originally the city was a part of San Diego County, but later became a part of Riverside County with its creation in 1893.  

An interesting fact in the history of Lake Elsinore is that many celebrities visited Lake Elsinore to escape the hustle and bustle of the Hollywood scene.  Bela Lugosi, the actor known for his role in Dracula, even built a home that still stands today.  it is located in Lake Elsinore's County Club Heights area.
