Palm Springs is a city that is located in Riverside County, California. This desert city is located within the Coachella Valley and covers an area of about 94.9 square miles. It is 37 miles to the East of San Bernardino, and borders San Jacinto Mountains to the West, Little San Bernardino Mountains to the East, Santa Rosa Mountains to the South and San Bernardino Mountains to the North.

Originally thought to have been inhabited by the Cahuilla people, Palm Springs went through a series of developments over the years. But it was not until the 1900s that it became a fashionable resort city.

People flocked to Palm Springs because of its weather. Tourist who visited for their health needed the dry heat and popular celebrities vacationed there because of the warm and sunny weather.  The celebrities also liked Palm Springs because of the seclusion, and some even built houses nearby.

Palm Springs has been associated with notable people who have either lived or bought houses there at some point. They include Will Keith Kellogg, the founder of the Kellogg Company, Edgar Kaufmann of the Kaufmann Department Store as well as Conrad Hilton, the founder of the Hilton Hotels. Movies like Ocean’s Eleven and Mission Impossible III have also been shot there.

Many couples like to marry in Palm Springs. There is Spencer's Restaurant where a couple can have their wedding catered.  For those who seek wedding entertainment, there is Musical Affair Entertainment and Jensen's Florist where they can get wedding flowers. There are also many wedding venues to choose from.

Wedding planning in Palm Springs is made easier by the fact that the weather is great. The city has a hot and dry climate and its winters are warm.
