Adelanto City is located in San Bernardino County, about 9 miles from Victorville. Its name means "advance" or "progress" in Spanish. Adelanto is nicknamed "The City with Unlimited Possibilities". 

The city was founded by E.H. Richardson in 1915. He divided the land into one-acre plots and hoped to build a respiratory hospital to aid the chronically injured from World War I. While he didn't see his goals completed in his lifetime, his involvement was instrumental in setting the path for Adelanto. The city was a "community services district" until its incorporation in 1970.

Adelanto's economy was dependent on fresh fruit and cider until the Great Depression, when poultry ranches replaced most of the orchards.

You can have your wedding in the Mavericks Conference Room, which can host up to 185 guests. The conference room has a separated dance floor and kitchen facilities available. Rubio's is an excellent casual caterer for rehearsal dinners or receptions.
