Fontana is a city that is located in San Bernardino County, California. It is the 2nd most populous city in San Bernardino County and covers an area of about 42.4 square miles.

Fontana was founded in 1913, and was a rural town until Henry Kaiser built a steel mill in the area. It was an agricultural town which was notable for its vineyards, chicken ranches and citrus orchards.

Fontana rose from those humble beginnings to become a regional hub for the trucking industry. It is a redistribution center for such companies as Mercedes Benz, Toyota, there is Target, Sears and other big companies there as well.

In addition, there is the Auto Club Speedway, which also attracts thousands of visitors yearly, and contributes significantly to the local economy.
