Cupertino is a city that is located in Santa Clara County, California. The city is located on the edge of Santa Clara Valley, to the West of San Jose. The city is one of the most educated small towns according to Forbes. Cupertino covers a total area of 11.2 square miles.

In the 19^th century, Cupertino was a small rural city which was known for its agriculture. It was known as West Side and was part of the Fremont Township. However, it was not until the electric railway was constructed that the city started to open up and modernize.

The city was incorporated in 1955 and is currently the Headquarters of Apple, Inc. It has also been named number 27 in the best small towns to live in America by Money Magazine. Trend Micro, Cloud.com and Seagate Technology are some of the other companies headquartered there. IBM and Oracle also have offices in the town as well.

Cupertino has many high achieving secondary and primary schools. It has many notable current and former residents including Apple co-founders Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak, former NBA player and coach Kurt Rambis, professional soccer player David Kramer and musician Fred Sablan.
