The city of Shively is conveniently located just four miles southwest of Louisville and all that it has to offer, but it has some great resources of its own to help you with the wedding planning process.

Shively has several affordable wedding venues for you to consider, including Pleasant Valley Lions Club Inc. and the Community Center, which is located in Shively Park.

Shively is also home to several churches, including The Shively Church, Saint Paul's Church, Ralph Avenue Baptist Church, and Dover Chapel General Baptist Church, so there are some traditional ceremony locations for you to consider as well.

Shively is in close proximity to area attractions such as the Filson Museum, Frazier Historical Arms Museum, Conrad-Caldwell House Museum, and Falls of the Ohio State Park, so make sure you save some time to enjoy all that the area has to offer. 

If you have out-of-town wedding guests, they can fly into Louisville International Airport, which offers several ground transportation options that can get them to Shively, including taxis, limousines, rental cars, and city buses.
