Cambridge is a city that is located in Middlesex County, Massachusetts. The city covers a total area of about 7.13 square miles and is the county seat of Middlesex County together with the city of Lowell.

The first people settled in the area in 1630. The area grew to become incorporated in 1846. The construction of the West Boston Bridge led to the rapid growth of the city. It hence became one of the main industrial cities in the 1920s.
