Bloomington is an urban community with plenty of resources to help you find everything on your wedding checklist. The city is situated near the Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport, and has rail transit that connects the Mall of America with the airport and downtown Minneapolis. 

In addition to shopping, the Mall of America has plenty of entertainment and dining for you and your wedding guests to enjoy. Chapel of Love, which is located in the Mall, is a budget-friendly wedding venue.

The Chapel offers wedding packages that include wedding photographs, use of the bridal dressing room, professional ministers to perform your ceremony, and wedding flowers.

If you prefer a more tranquil wedding venue, try the Minnesota Valley Country Club. The reception hall features floor-to-ceiling windows, which offer beautiful views of the golf green and the pond. The covered bridge and fountain are two beautiful locations for your wedding photographs.  

Bloomington offers many outdoor parks with amenities such as hiking and biking trails, and picnic shelters available to rent for special occasions. You can also go ice skating at the Ice Garden or visit the Bloomington Center for the Arts. 

If you are planning outdoor wedding activities, keep in mind that Bloomington has bitterly cold winters, with an average low in January of 6.3 degrees Fahrenheit.
