The borough of Woodland Park, whose name used to be West Paterson, was re-named due its beautiful wooded areas. While the borough has convenient access to Newark, which is just 10 miles away, it has plenty of its own resources to help you with the wedding planning process.

The country club is one of Woodland Park's most popular wedding venues, as it features 30 acres of gorgeous landscaping, incredible views of Garret Mountain, and plenty of romantic lighting.

Fairway Market offers an extensive catering menu, from salads and cold deli trays to warm entrees. Also, it has a full-service bakery that can make custom wedding cakes and cupcake wedding tiers for your big day.

Francesco's Restaurant, another local favorite, offers a cozy, casual but elegant atmosphere for bridal luncheons, engagement parties, and rehearsal dinners.

Woodland Park has plenty of parkland and open spaces for you to enjoy, as it is home to two reservoirs and part of two county parks, including Garret Mountain Reservation, and Great Notch Reservoir. You can also visit nearby area attractions such as Paterson Museum or the Glen Rock Arboretum.
