The borough of Darby is a small, primarily residential community, but it is conveniently located just five miles southwest of Philadelphia, so you and your wedding guests are in close proximity to major shopping venues, attractions, and hotels.

Darby has a well-developed public transportation system with only 69 percent of commuters driving to work, so you and your wedding guests will be able to easy explore the area.

Darby is home to several churches, including Mt. Zion AME Church Darby, Blessed Virgin Mary Church, and Greater Rainbow Restoration, so if you are considering traditional wedding venues, you have several you can choose from.

Darby is situated along and named for Darby Creek, which offers some scenic views if you want a natural setting for your engagement and wedding photographs. The borough is also home to Darby Library, which often hosts birthday parties and fundraisers.
