Seattle is a city in King County, Washington. It is the seat of King County, and covers an area of 83.8 square meters. Seattle is a major coastal seaport and is also the largest city in the Pacific Northwest.

Initially inhabited by Native Americans, white settlers arrived in Seattle in 1853. Logging then became the major industry in Seattle. By 1910, the city had become one of the largest cities in the United States.

However, the Great Depression damaged the city’s rapid growing economy. The economy rebounded during and after World War II. There was a robust aircraft manufacturing industry with Boeing being headquartered there until 2001.

From the 1980s to present, the city became a technology hub. There are many software, biotechnological and internet companies such as Amazon.com which areheadquartered there to date.

There are countless well known and famous people from Seattle. They include Microsoft Co-founders Bill Gates and Paul Allen. There is also Chris DeWolfe, founder of MySpace. Nirvana drummer and Foo Fighters lead singer and guitarist Dave Grohl just to name a few.

Being the big city that it is, Seattle holds many weddings. It has facilities and amenities couples can take advantage of. Seattle enjoys an Oceanic Climate, which has warm, dry summers and mild, wet winters. The city has about 71 days of sunshine mostly from May to September.
