Spokane County, which is named after the Spokane Native American tribe, is a picturesque region with beautiful locations where you can take wedding photographs, and we found some great resources to help you plan the wedding of your dreams.

Major cities and census-recognized communities in Spokane County include the county seat (and largest city) of Spokane, Cheney, Airway Heights, Deer Park, Rockford, Millwood, Liberty Lake, Town and Country, Waverly, and Fairwood.

The county is served by Spokane International Airport (GEG), STA bus services, and has several affordable rental car and taxi services available, so you and your wedding guests will be able to easily navigate the area.

Spokane County has some excellent shopping venues, from traditional malls to specialty shops, boutiques, and galleries, so you be able to easily find everything on your wedding checklist.

Popular shopping venues include River Park Square in Downtown Spokane, Flour Mill, NorthTown Mall, Spokane Public Market, Spokane Valley Mall, and Boo Radley's.

Spokane County is home to some beautiful parks, many of which you can reserve for weddings if you apply for a Special Events Permit. Major parks include Turnbull National Wildlife Refuge, Bear Lake Regional Park, Dishman Hills Natural Area, Morgan Acres, Prairie View Community Park, and John C. Shields Park.

Other popular wedding venues in Spokane County include Arbor Crest Wine Cellars, The Davenport Hotel and Tower, The Lincoln Center, Newman Lake Resort & Marina, and Mirabeau Park Hotel and Convention Center in Spokane Valley.

Many of the municipalities in Spokane County, especially the city of Spokane, have thriving art communities, so make sure you take a break from the wedding planning process to enjoy what they have to offer.

To start, you can tour the Armed Forces & Aerospace Museum or Carr's One of a Kind in the World Museum, see a show at Blue Door Theatre or Interplayers Theatre, go skiing at Mount Spokane State Park, or go wine tasting at Nodland Cellars.
