First you need to know that the busiest time for any wedding, particularly in Las Vegas, is the weekend, particularly on Saturday.  If you really want a Las Vegas wedding, you need to start planning your trip as soon as you can.

Next, you need to think about what you are expecting in a wedding chapel.  There are many different chapels to choose from in Las Vegas.  They range everywhere from very elegant, to simple, to the somewhat quirky.

Decide on your budget.  Prices can vary widely depending on the chapel you choose and the amenities you want.  Know exactly what you are willing to spend before you even start searching for a chapel.

Start doing your research.  The internet is the perfect place to do your research as every chapel has it's own website.  

Once you have found several chapels you think will suit your taste, give them a call.  You will need to find out as much information as possible.  You want to ask about things such as how many guests they can accommodate, the availability and even things such as whether the waiting room is heated or air-conditioned.  

Once you feel you have found the perfect chapel, book it!  Make sure to book as far in advance as possible.  This will ensure you actually have the chapel on the date you wish to get married.  Many times this will require a deposit.  

When getting married in Las Vegas, you will first need to obtain a marriage license. However, this is a simple process.  The Marriage License Bureau is open 365 days a year and their hours are from 8 am to midnight and their phone number is 702-671-0600.  You can even pre-apply online to save time.  The cost of a marriage license can be paid in cash, cashier's check, money order or credit card. However, there is an additional fee charged for using a credit card.  Licenses are effectively immediately and are valid for up to one year.
