Arizona is located in the Southwest part of the United States.  Arizona is the 6th largest state and the has the 16th largest population of all 50 states.  The capital of Arizona is Phoenix and it is also the largest city.  Tucson is the second largest city.  Arizona achieved its statehood in February, 1912 and was the last of the 48 contiguous states to be admitted into the Union.  

The southern part of Arizona is known for its desert climate where the summers are very hot and the winters are quite mild.  The northern part of Arizona is much cooler and has many pine forests and some mountain ranges along with very large and deep canyons where the weather is much more moderate during three of the seasons plus quite a bit of snowfall in the winter.  Flagstaff and Alpine both have ski resorts which are excellent winter wedding venues.

Arizona has the largest population of the landlocked states, coming in slightly ahead of Tennessee.  Along with the Grand Canyon National Park, there are several national parks, national forests, and national monuments located in Arizona.  Approximately one-quarter of Arizona is considered federal land and is home to the Navajo Nation, the Apache and Hopi tribes, the Tohono O'odham and various Yuman tribes.  

Arizona is marked by its varied culture and weather for weddings.  Arizona also has many large cities where you can find just about everything you need to create a wonderful wedding.  You will be able to shop for wedding gowns, bridesmaids dresses and other wedding accessories in any number of the larger cities.  It is a beautiful state having the Grand Canyon in the northern part, pine forests in its mountain regions and the desert areas in the south.  Tourism is a big business in Arizona and there are many resorts, hotels and convention centers along with many historic venues as well.  All these wonderful venues will let you have a truly unforgettable wedding.
