Baldwin Park is in Los Angeles County and is 17 miles east of downtown Los Angeles. It was originally part of the San Gabriel Mission and used as cattle grazing land. In 1906 it was named after the wealthy landowner Elias J. "Lucky" Baldwin. Today the city is primarily residential.

Baldwin Park is home to the first In-N-Out burger, a popular California chain. It opened in 1948 and was California's first drive-through restaurant. The city has a number of parks, a skate park, and several community centers. Baldwin Park Historical Society Museum has over 1,000 artifacts. You can view maps, radios, clothing, and phonographs from the period of 1850-1950.
