Orange County

Orange County is a county in the state of California with the county seat being Santa Ana.  It has a population of just over 3 million residents which makes it the third most populous county in California, right behind Los Angeles County and San Diego County.  Orange County has the sixth largest population for a county in the United States.  

Orange County is known for being home to Disneyland and Knott's Berry Farm as well as several beaches which makes it a great tourist destination.  Orange County really does not have any well defined urban center as it is mostly suburban.  

The county has a total area of just over 497 square miles and is the smallest county in Southern California.  It has an annual average temperature of 68 degrees which makes it perfect for outdoor weddings.

Orange County has several notable shopping malls which makes it a great place for wedding planning.  You will have no problems at all finding everything on your wedding checklist from bridal gowns to beach wedding invitations.  Everything you could possibly need for hosting a spectacular wedding can be found in Orange County.  

Tourism is vital to Orange County's economy and Anaheim is the main hub for its tourism.  It is home to Disneyland which is the second most visited theme park in the world.  There is also Knott's Berry Farm and the Anaheim Convention Center which draw many tourists to the area as well.  There are many resorts that cater to thousands of visitors throughout the year because of their close proximity to the beaches and other activities.  

If you are planning to marry in Orange County you can apply for your license online. Couples applying for the license online will have priority when they arrive at the Clerk-Recorder's office.  Marriage licenses are issued on the spot and are valid for 90 days. There are no residency or citizenship requirements.  Payment for the license can be made by cash, personal check, cashier's check, money order or credit card.
