District Of Columbia

The District of Columbia, also known as Washington D.C., has some great resources to help you with the wedding planning process.

Since Washington D.C. has a well-developed public transportation system, you and your wedding guests will be able to easily navigate the area.

The district is served by the Washington Area Transit Authority (WMATA), which operates the Washington Metro rapid transit system and Metrobus and is home to Union Station, Amtrack's second-busiest station.

Being the nation's capital, the District of Columbia is a popular place for destination weddings and has some beautiful historic wedding venues for you to consider, including the Decatur House on Lafayette Square, the Historical Society of Washington D.C., and Sixth and I Synagogue, which features stained-glass windows, vaulted ceilings, and soaring arches.
