Duval County is a great place for destination weddings, as the climate is pleasant most of the year, usually dropping no lower than 45 degrees Fahrenheit in January.

Major cities and towns in Duval County include Jacksonville, Jacksonville Beach, Atlantic Beach, Neptune Beach, and Baldwin.

Jacksonville, which is the county seat, offers a riverfront downtown, a vibrant arts and cultural community, and beautiful beaches where you can exchange vows. 

The county also has popular indoor wedding venues, including Deercreek Country Club, Jacksonville Beach Community Center and Exhibition Hall, and Crosswater Hall at Nocatee.

For quiet beach weddings away from the hustle and bustle of the city, check out Atlantic Beach, a small, charming town in close proximity to Jacksonville, or Neptune Beach.

Duval County is served by the Jacksonville International Airport and has a well-developed public transportation system run by the Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA), so you and your wedding guests will be able to easily explore the area.

The county has a variety of shopping venues, from upscale boutiques, to traditional shopping malls to antique stores and art galleries, so regardless of what the theme of your wedding is, you will be able to find everything on your wedding checklist.

Make sure you check out the trendy boutiques in San Marco, Avondale, Riverside and Five Points, and the Southside of Jacksonville. Major Duval County malls include St. Johns Town Center, The Avenues, and River City Marketplace.
