Palm Beach County

If destination weddings have always fascinated you and you are thinking about hosting one of your own, you may want to consider Palm Beach County, Florida.

The Palm Beach area is one of the best areas to enjoy the "Florida experience."  You can fish or dive in the waters that are warmed by the Gulf Stream or visit some of the many attractions, some of which are very family friendly.  Of course you can also check out the world class golf courses and soak up some sun on the beautiful beaches.

Palm Beach County boasts 412 square miles of water, most of which is on the Atlantic Coast and Lake Okeechobee and, therefore, beach weddings are very popular and common.

Palm Beach County is home to many trendy and upscale shops and is perfect to find all the items on your wedding checklist.  With upscale cities such as West Palm Beach and Boca Raton, you will be able to find everything you need from wedding gowns to the perfect bakery where you can look through many different wedding cake designs.

The area has quite an array of cultural venues, pristine beaches and historic sites.  You can shop the trendy downtown districts or just relax and take in the beauty of Flroida's unique ecosystem.

Palm Beach County was created in 1909 and was named after the first settled community which was Palm Beach.  Of course, that name came from the palm trees and beaches that are abundant in the area.

One of the area's historic locations is the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum.  This is the perfect location to host a waterfront wedding.  Not only will you have the lighthouse, surrounding grounds and water as a backdrop for your wedding, you will also be supporting the preservation and upkeep of a national historic treasure with the proceeds from your event.
