St. Lucie County is a popular place for destination weddings, as it features year-round warm weather, beautiful waterways, beaches, opportunities for outdoor recreation, and "Old Florida" small-town charm.

Major municipalities in St. Lucie County include Fort Pierce, which is the county seat, Port St. Lucie, the village of St. Lucie, Hutchinson Island South, River Park, Lakewood Park, White City, Walton, and Ankona.

With approximately 21 miles of beaches, St. Lucie County is the perfect place for beach weddings. Major beaches include Blue Heron Beach, Middle Cove Beach, Herman's Bay Beach, John Brooks Park Beachside, Ocean Bay Beachside, and Normandy Beach, just to name a few.

Also, make sure you check out Hutchinson Island, as it has plenty of beachfront wedding venues for you to consider, including luxury hotels and resorts.

Other popular venues in St. Lucie County include the Port St. Lucie Botanical Gardens, Old Fort Pierce City Hall, the Heathcote Botanical Gardens, Downtown Marina Square in Fort Pierce, and Port St. Lucie Civic Center.

The county also has an abundance of preserves and riverside parks, including River Park Marina, Bear Point Sanctuary, Blind Creek Riverside South, Vitolo Family Preserve North, Queens Island Preserve, Ten Mile Creek Preserve, and Gordy Road Preserve.

St. Lucie County has several major shopping districts as well as traditional shopping centers, so you will be able to easily find all the essentials on your wedding checklist.

Some popular places to shop include St. Lucie West, Tradition Square in Port St. Lucie, Downtown Fort Pierce, Indian River Mall, Virginia Avenue Plaza, Treasure Coast Square, and Taylor Creek Commons.

Since St. Lucie County has so many fun things for you to do, make sure you save plenty of time to explore the area.

To start, you can go paddleboarding on the Indian River Lagoon, go diving and see centuries-old Spanish shipwrecks, as the county is situated in the heart of "Treasure Coast," or visit one of the county's numerous museums, like the National Navy SEAL Museum & Memorial.
