Major cities and towns in Kane County, Illinois, include the county seat of Geneva, the largest city of Aurora, Barrington Hills, Big Rock, Burlington, Elburn, North Aurora, West Dundee, and South Elgin.

Kane County is accessible by major roadways, including Interstates 80, 88, and 90, and is served by Metra Rail, which provides daily service to downtown Chicago, so you and your wedding guests will be able to easily explore the region. The county is also within 60 miles of both O'Hare International Airport and Midway International Airport.

Kane County has numerous shopping venues, from large shopping malls, to specialty boutiques and quaint family-owned shops, so you will have no problem finding everything on your wedding checklist.

Popular shopping venues include Historic Downtown Geneva, Geneva Commons, Kane County Flea Market, Chicago Premium Outlets in Aurora, Northgate Shopping Center, West Aurora Plaza, Barrington Ice House Mall, downtown West Dundee, and Spring Hill Mall, just to name a few.

Kane County has over 70 forest preserves and facilities spread throughout it, so there are plenty of scenic locations for outdoor weddings and photographs as well as opportunities to enjoy boating, fishing, picnicking, and hiking.

The Japanese Tea Garden, which is situated in the Fabyan West Forest Preserve in Geneva, is one of the Kane County's most popular wedding venues during the warmer spring and summer months. Other county-owned facilities include The Lodge at Brewster Creek and the Lodge at Camp Tomo Chi-Chi Knolls.

Remember, Kane County is home to several historical attractions, including Fabyan Windmill, Durant House Museum, Fabyan Villa Museum, and Pioneer Sholes School, so make sure you take some time to visit them while you're in the area.
