Located in the Midwestern United States and the 15th largest state by area, Kansas is an excellent choice as a place to host your wedding festivities.  

If you are a couple that will be planning a wedding in Kansas, you will have a variety of different location options.  The state offers wedding venues in many different areas of the state and couples will be able to choose from location such as a country club, a beautiful garden, a yacht club or even an old theater.  Your dreams of the perfect wedding really can come true by choosing one of the amazing and unique venues in the state of Kansas.  

One of the many country clubs you can choose to host your wedding is Adams Point Golf Club which is located just minutes from downtown Kansas City.  The club offers and event room which is glass enclosed and has available seating for up to 150 of your friends and family.  Not only is the event room glass enclosed, but it has an amazing panoramic view of the entire golf course.  The views on the golf course are amazing in that there are many stunning wetland and forest settings throughout the entire scenic course.  

Kansas City itself is great as a location to plan and host your wedding because it has all the vendors you will need to host an amazing wedding and reception.  You will be able to browse through hundreds of designer wedding gowns as well as be able to find your wedding flowers, possibly a wedding planner and even your wedding jewelry which may include your wedding rings or possibly just plain wedding bands.  

Another amazing venue is Powell Gardens which is located just east of Lee's Summit.  This venue has two beautiful gardens and a nature trail.  You can take your vows in the Marjorie Powell Allen Chapel which offers a beautiful fountain in the courtyard at the entrance to the chapel. The chapel is complete with a sound system, including a microphone, plant stands, candelabra and adjustable lighting which can be utilized to create just the right ambiance for your ceremony.  The is ample parking for the 100 guests the chapel can accommodate.  The chapel itself it located on the top of a hill which overlooks Powell Gardens.  

Now if you're looking for something a bit more out of the box, you might want to consider the Madrid Theatre which is located in midtown Kansas City.  The amazing Spanish revival style architecture gives the theater an amazingly glamorous, retro feel.  You can hold your actual ceremony on the state of the theater which offers a backdrop of a red velvet curtain.  They also have candelabras and flowers available for your decorating needs.  Your guests will be seated in the rows by aisles just as if they were watching a performance.  The venue also offers some excellent areas for your wedding photos such as the split spiral staircase and the fountain that is located in the located.  Hosting your wedding in his location will definitely give your guests a time to remember.  

A bit more traditional, but still a little edgy, is the Arrowhead Yacht Club located in Greenwood.  The club offers a beautiful patio located on the banks of a private lake.  The patio can accommodate up to 225 guests seated.  However, if you prefer an indoor wedding or if the weather is not cooperating for the outdoor wedding you have planned, Arrowhead also offers a clubhouse where you can hold your wedding festivities.
