Baltimore is a vibrant city with plenty of resources to help you with the wedding planning process, as it is the largest city in Maryland and the 24th largest city in the nation. The city of Baltimore is also home to the second largest seaport in the mid-Atlantic United States.
Baltimore was rated the 14th most walkable city out of the 50 largest cities in the United States, so you and your wedding guests will be able to easily explore the area.
If you so desire, Baltimore City also has a well-developed public transportation system, as it is served by Maryland Transit Administration and Charm City Circular, which provide bus services and light rail transit services.
Baltimore is home to two major malls, Harborplace Mall and Lexington Market, so you will have no problem finding everything on your wedding checklist, from couture wedding gowns, to custom wedding invitations and favors, to wedding flowers and other essential decorations.
Baltimore has many different types of wedding venues. You could have a ceremony adjacent to Harborview Marina at Tabrizi's, or get married at Tremont Suites Hotel and Grand Historic Venue, which features recently restored 19th century architecture.
Other options include having an intimate ceremony or elopement at Chase Courts, which features a hidden shade garden, or throwing a sophisticated party at Gramercy Mansion.
Baltimore City has numerous museums that are worth a visit, including Babe Ruth Museum, American Visionary Art Museum, Edgar Allan Poe House, Walters Art Museum, B & O Railroad Museum, and Baltimore Museum of Industry, just to name a few.
In your free time, you could also visit Maryland Science Center, National Aquarium, see a Baltimore Orioles or a Baltimore Ravens game, or get some fresh air in Baltimore's 6,000 acres of parkland.
Some favorite Baltimore parks include Druid Hill Park, Patterson Park, which features a lake and scenic areas for wedding photographs, and Clifton, Carroll, and Forest Parks, which all feature public golf courses.
