Baltimore County, which consists of numerous unincorporated communities and towns, is suburban in nature, with many beautiful rural areas and rolling hills.
Baltimore County marriage licenses can be obtained in the County Courts Building in Towson and require a 48-hour waiting period before they are valid, but they do not expire for six months.
Baltimore County is home to Rocky Point Beach and Park and Oregon Ridge Beach, both of which have picnic pavilions available to rent that are perfect for small, intimate beach weddings. Miami Beach Park, which is situated on the Chesapeake Bay, also has a picnic pavilion, but it is available on a first come, first serve basis.
The county maintains over 6,900 acres of parkland, so if you want a natural setting for your engagement or wedding photographs, you will have abundant locations to choose from such as Marshy Point Nature Center, Oregon Ridge Park, the Towson Courthouse Garden, and Cromwell Valley Park, which is a combination of three working farms that preserve historic structures, springs and streams, and woodlands.

Make sure you check out Owings Mills Mall and the Towson Town Center in Towson, which is the county seat of Baltimore County.
The city of Baltimore is nearby, and though it is not actually included in the county, you and your wedding guests will still be able to explore the area and visit major attractions with ease if you so desire, as the Baltimore Light Rail runs from the Hunt Valley Town Centre through Baltimore City, past Oriole Park, and all the way to the Baltimore Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport.
