Suffolk County, which is located in Massachusetts, has plenty of resources to help you with the wedding planning process.

The county is served by three regional airports, Boston Logan International Airport, and has plenty of public transportation, including commuter rails through Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority, taxis, and buses, so you and your wedding guests will be able to easily explore the area.

If you are in Boston, the county seat, you can easily explore it by foot, as it is known as "America's Walking City."

Major cities and towns in Suffolk County include Boston, which is both the capital and the largest city in Massachusetts, Chelsea, Revere, and Winthrop. 

Suffolk County is an area rich in history, and Boston is a great place for destination weddings if you are a history lover, as it has numerous historic attractions and wedding venues, quaint bed and breakfasts, luxury hotels, and plenty of shopping, with no sales tax on articles of clothing valued under $175.

Popular historic wedding venues in Suffolk County include the Boston Public Library, the Captain Linnell House, The Endicott Estate, Omni Parker House, Peabody Essex Museum, Union Station, and Willowdale Estate.

For couture wedding gowns and bridal jewelry, check out the upscale boutiques on Newbury Street, Copley Place, and The Shops at Prudential Center in the Back Bay. 

Other popular Suffolk County shopping venues include Faneuil Hall Marketplace, Harvard Square, CambridgeSide Galleria, Kittery Outlets, Wrentham Village Premium Outlets, and the shops at Natick Collection.

Suffolk County has numerous parks, museums, and other attractions for you to enjoy during your free time, including Adams National Historic Park, Battleship Cove, Boston National Historic Park, Boston Tea Party Ships and Museum, the New England Aquarium, and the Paul Revere House, just to name a few. 

If you are an outdoor lover, Suffolk County has plenty of outdoor activities you an enjoy, including canoeing and kayaking on the Charles River and daily bike tours through Boston; just keep in mind that the winter seasons are very cold, with an average low in January of 21.3 degrees Fahrenheit.
