Las Vegas is a city located in Clark County, Nevada. It is the most populous city in the state of Nevada and it is also the county seat of Clark County. It covers an area of around 135.8 square miles and is internationally known for gambling, fine dining and shopping. 

Established in 1905, the city only took 6 years to be incorporated. It started out as a stopover town for pioneers traveling to the West and then became a popular railroad town in the early 20^th century. However, the railroads’ proliferation all over the US made Las Vegas lose some of its importance. The fact that it legalized gambling in 1931 led to its growth and it experienced even more growth in development, population and tourism with the completion of Hoover Dam in 1935.

Presently, Las Vegas is commonly referred to as the entertainment capital of the world. With its tolerance for eccentric activities, it is also known as a sin city. There are several notable people either born, raised or living in Las Vegas, and they include Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, Actress Charisma Carpenter, Tennis Player and Philanthropist Andre Agassi and Singer, producer dancer and actor Ne-Yo.

There are also several movies/films with scenes or entire movies shot in Las Vegas. A few of these include Knocked Up, Diamonds are Forever, 2012, The Hangover, What Happens in Vegas and Oceans Thirteen.

Las Vegas is also known as the marriage capital of the world. It is easy to get a marriage license in the city as there are no blood tests or waiting period. If you want to get married in Vegas, there is Annabelle's where you can get wedding invitations.

If you need wedding entertainment, there is Knight Sounds Entertainment and there is also A Little White Wedding Chapel which is one of the most famous wedding venues worldwide. With its tunnel of love, any guests that are unable to physically attend your wedding can watch it on webcam.

Las Vegas has a subtropical desert climate due to its location in the Mojave Desert. It has abundant sunshine throughout the year with about 300 days of sunshine. This is great weather to plan a wedding.
