Queens County neighborhoods are organized into 14 Community Boards.  The housing in Queens county is very diverse as well as ranges from very dense apartment buildings in the more urban areas to large single family homes in the more eastern part of the county/borough.

Two of New York City's major airports call Queens home - JFK International Airport and LaGuardia Airport and they are among the most busy airports in the world which causes the airspace above Queens to be the most congested in the United States.

If you will be planning a destination wedding to Queens County, you may want to consider the months of May, September and October.  These months are typically the most favorable in terms of weather and rates on hotels and such are lower at these times as well.

If you choose to have an outdoor wedding during one of the fair weather months, there are many wedding venues you can choose from.  You can choose to have your ceremony and wedding photos at the Queens Botanical Gardens or you can plan your wedding in Astoria park and say your "I do's" on the East River waterfront with Manhattan in the background.  If you are into something a bit more country, you can have an indoor or outdoor wedding at the Queens County Farm Museum.
