Richmond County, which is a borough of New York City located on Staten Island, is home to some of the nation's top tourist attractions, and as such, it is the perfect place for you to host an extended wedding weekend.

Staten Island is called "The Greenest Borough," as it has over 170 parks and 12,300 acres of protected parkland, so there are plenty of locations to have outdoor wedding ceremonies, take beautiful photographs, and get some fresh air.

Major parks in Richmond County include Silver Lakes Park, Clove Lakes Park, Great Kills Park, LaTourette Park, Greenbelt, which is three times the size of Central Park in New York City, Bloomingdale Park, and South Beach, a popular tourist destination featuring a boardwalk and several elegant beachside wedding venues.

Other popular venues in Richmond County include the Alice Austen House, which features breathtaking views of the Statue of Liberty and Lower Manhattan, The Grand Plaza, Grand Oaks Country Club, and The Historic Old Bermuda Inn, just to name a few.
