Rockland County

Rockland County, which is part of the New York City metropolitan area, is the smallest county by area in the state of New York, but it still has some excellent resources to help you with the wedding planning process.

Major municipalities in Rockland County include New City, which is the county seat, the town of Ramapo, which is home to several incorporated villages, Orangetown, Stony Point, Haverstraw, and Clarkstown.

The motto of Rockland County is "A World Away, In Your Own Backyard." Approximately one-third of Rockland County is parkland, so as you can imagine, there are plenty of scenic areas where you can enjoy outdoor recreation, have intimate wedding ceremonies, or take outdoor engagement and wedding photographs.

Major parks in Rockland County include Anthony Wayne Recreation Area, Bear Mountain State Park, Blauvelt State Park, High Tor State Park, Hook Mountain State Park, Nyack Beach State Park, and Dater Mountain Nature Park, just to name a few.
