Lucas County might encompass just 340 square miles, but it has plenty of resources to help you plan the wedding of your dreams.

Lucas County is served by Toledo Area Regional Transit Authority (TARTA), which offers bus services, Amtrack, Toledo Express Airport, and several cab and limo companies, so you and your wedding guests will be able to easily navigate the area.

The region has a variety of shopping venues, from specialty boutiques to traditional shopping centers, so you will be able to easily find all the essentials on your wedding checklist.

Popular shopping venues in Lucas County include Westfield Franklin Park in Toledo, The Town Center at Levis Commons, The Shops at Fallen Timbers in Maumee, and the Toledo Farmers Market.

The MetroPark system in Lucas County maintains numerous beautiful parks and facilities, many of which offer unique locations for engagement photographs, opportunities for outdoor recreation, and some incredible wedding venues, such as Wildwood Manor House.

Other Lucas County parks that are popular for weddings include Secor, Swan Creek Preserve, Side Cut, Oak Openings, Pearson, Bend View, Farnsworth, and Providence.

Even though the winters in Lucas County can be very cold, as the average low in January is 16.1 degrees Fahrenheit, many of the parks have indoor venues as well, such as Macomber Lodge, Packer-Hammersmith Center, Yager Center, and Buehner Center.

Lucas County has numerous museums and cultural attractions, so make sure you take a break from the wedding planning process to enjoy everything that it has to offer.
