As the fifth most populous county in the state of Ohio, Montgomery County has some thriving business communities with great resources to help you with the wedding planning process.

Major cities and villages in Montgomery County include the county seat of Dayton, Huber Heights, Germantown, West Carrollton, Englewood, Riverside, New Lebanon, Centerville, Farmersville, and Carlisle.

The area is served by Miami Valley Regional Transit Authority (RTA) and has plenty of rental car services, so you and your wedding guests will be able to easily explore the region. If you are in Dayton, there are also electric trolley car services.

Montgomery County has some fabulous shopping venues, from traditional shopping malls to specialty shops and boutiques, so you will be able to easily find everything on your wedding checklist.

Popular shopping venues include Cross Pointe Center in Centerville, Dayton Mall, Eastown Shopping Center, NorthPark Center in Huber Heights, the shops in Oregon Historic District, Shops of Oakwood, Vandalia Shopping Center, and Washington Square in Dayton, just to name a few.

Montgomery County has some wonderful wedding venues for you to consider, from event and conference centers, to historic sites and luxury hotels. Make sure you check out Arbor Hall, Dayton Convention Center, B&B Riverfront Hall in historic Miamisburg, and Crowne Plaza in Dayton.

If you prefer the outdoors, Montgomery County is home to Five Rivers MetroParks, which features over 16,000 acres of parkland.

In addition to providing ample opportunities for outdoor recreation and relaxation, many of the parks are popular locations for engagement and wedding photographs, as well as wedding ceremonies and receptions.

Some major parks include Aullwood Garden MetroPark in Englewood, Carriage Hill MetroPark Farm in Dayton, Cox Arboretum & Gardens MetroPark in Miami Township, and Wegerzyn Gardens MetroPark.

The county is also home to several museums, including Dayton International Peace Museum, National Museum of the United States Air Force, Iams Homestead, Aviation Trail & Parachute Museum, and Boonshoft Museum of Discovery.
