Tarrant County

Tarrant County is a county that is located in the state of Texas with a population of approximately 1,810,000.  It is the 16th most populated county in the United States and the 3rd most populated in Texas.  The county seat is Fort Worth.  Tarrant County was named after General Edward Tarrant.

The two most populated cities in Tarrant County are Forth Worth, which is the most populous with almost 700,000 residents and Arlington which is the second most populous with nearly 400,000 residents.  North Richland Hills comes in a distant third with close to 66,000 residents.  The county is 897 square miles in total area.  

There are many unique wedding venues in Tarrant County.  You can have an authentic Japanese-style wedding in the Japanese Garden of the Fort Worth Botanic Garden or you could go in a completely opposite direction and have your ceremony at Cowboys Stadium.  Of course, there are many options in between for you to choose from when you begin your wedding planning.  

You can obtain a married license at the Tarrant County Clerks office.  There is a 72 hour waiting period after application and the license will be valid for 30 days from the application date.  You must bring two forms of valid identification when applying for your marriage license and both parties must appear in person.  

Tarrant County is and excellent area for a wedding.  The weather is generally very fair and pleasant with an average daily temperature of 65 degrees.  The average high in Tarrant County is 76 degrees and the average low is 54 degrees.  You have about a 50% chance of having a sunny day in Tarrant County.  With the fair temperatures and a good probability of sunshine, you can probably plan an outdoor wedding and not have any weather related issues.
