Williamson County, which is a geographically diverse area consisting of rocky hills and the Blackland Prairies, has plenty of resource to help you plan the wedding of your dreams.

Major cities in Williamson County include part of Austin, the county seat of Georgetown, Cedar Park, Bartlett, Granger, Liberty Hill, Thorndale, Thrall, Wier, and the unincorporated communities of Waterloo, Norman's Crossing, and Coupland.

There are over 1,000 acres of parkland in Williamson County, so whether you are looking for unique locations to take engagement and wedding photographs or just want some fresh air, you will have plenty of places to explore.

Many of the parks in Williamson County have pavilions you can rent for special occasions, including Southwest Williamson County Regional Park, Berry Springs Park, Champion Park, and the Quarry Splash Pad. Also, make sure you check out Balcones Canyonlands National Wildlife Refuge, which is home to five endangered species.

Williamson County has a wide variety of shopping venues, from antique malls and specialty stores, to eclectic boutiques, traditional shopping malls, and charming downtown areas, so you will be able to easily find everything on your wedding checklist.

Popular shopping venues include Wolf Ranch Town Center, the shops in Downtown Georgetown, Lakeline Mall, Cedar Park Shopping Center, Highland Mall, the Second Street District in Austin, and the Georgetown Antique Mall, just to name a few.

Williamson County has some beautiful wedding venues for you to consider, from historic mansions and ranches, to country clubs, hotels, and event centers. Some favorite venues include The Taylor Mansion, Chateau On the Creek, San Gabriel's Horn in Georgetown, Grace Heritage Center, and The Golf Club Star Ranch.

While in the area, make sure you take a break from the wedding planning process to have some fun. To start, you can see a show at the historic Palace Theatre, enjoy the climbing walls and zip-lines at Georgetown Challenge Center, watch a baseball game at Dell Diamond, or spend a day at the spa and go wine tasting at The Vineyard at Florence.
