Marana is a beautiful town in the Sonoran Desert with some excellent resources to help you find the essentials on your wedding checklist. 

The town has a number of excellent wedding venues, including the Marana Municipal Complex and Operations Center, which is an affordable place to host your wedding reception. The Town of Marana's website has more information about renting its facilities.

The Highlands at Dove Mountain, another local wedding venue, is situated in the foothills of the Tortolita Mountains, offers breathtaking views of Tucson's valley floor, and has both indoor and outdoor ceremony and reception sites for you to choose from. 

You could also have your wedding at the Ritz-Carlton Dove Mountain, which also features incredible mountain views, world-class cuisine, and outdoor verandas which are perfect for rehearsal dinner or after-ceremony cocktail parties.

Marana has an extensive hiking and biking trail system that you and your wedding guest can enjoy during down time, including the Tortolita Preserve Loop and Wild Burro Canyon Trail.

The night sky in Marana is usually very clear, which makes it the perfect town for stargazing. With its desert climate, Marana has relatively comfortable temperatures year-round, but be careful planning outdoor activities during the summer months, when it can reach up to 103 degrees Fahrenheit.
