The borough of South River, which is considered part of the Middlesex-Somerset-Hunterdon metro area, has some great resources to help you with the wedding planning process.

As the borough's name suggests, there are several bodies of water in the area that not only provide relaxation and recreation opportunities, but are also popular locations for engagement and wedding photographs.

South River is just two miles from Old Bridge and 22 miles from Newark, so if you want to explore outside of the borough, there are some great attractions nearby, including Cora Hartshorn Arboretum and Bird Sanctuary, and Pigeon Swamp State Park.
