The city of Sherwood is a family-oriented, educated community that is conveniently located just nine miles south of Beaverton and 14 miles southwest of Portland, so you are in close proximity to major area attractions and shopping centers.

However, Sherwood has some excellent resources of its own to help you with the wedding planning process.

Most of Sherwood's parks, including Snyder Park, Stella Olsen Park, Pioneer Park, and Murdock Park, have covered pavilions you can rent for special occasions through the Community Services Department.

For small weddings, check out Bella Via, a boutique wedding venue located in Historic Old Town Sherwood, which features chandeliers, hand-crafted stained glass windows, a private bridal suite, and a built-in bar.

Another one of Sherwood's popular wedding venues is Hawks View Cellars, a winery featuring dramatic views of the snow-capped Cascade peaks and a landscaped patio and lawn that can accommodate up to 200 guests.

If you want a traditional venue for your wedding, Sherwood is home to plenty of churches, including Mountain Home United Methodist Church, Rock Harbor Church, and St. Paul Lutheran Church, just to name a few.

During your free time, you can attend one of Sherwood's annual events, such as Music on the Green, which is held in Stella Olsen Memorial Park, the Robin Hood Festival, the Artisan Bazaar, Sherwood Saturday Market, or The Friar Trot.
