The city of Cornelius, which is situated in the Tualatin Valley, is small but thriving agricultural community that is conveniently located just 10 miles east of the Coast Range and 26 miles west of Portland.

Cornelius is home to three wineries, A Blooming Hill Vineyard, Gresser Vineyard, and Ardiri Winery & Vineyards, which is one of the city's popular wedding venues.

You can also get married in one of the local churches, such as St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Cornerstone Baptist Church, or St. Alexander Catholic Church, or have an intimate wedding reception in the banquet room at Forest Hills Golf Course.

Cornelius has several excellent catering options for your wedding, including Mazatlan Cornelius, which specializes in authentic Mexican cuisine and is known for its margaritas.

If you want an outdoor fiesta for your rehearsal dinner, both Harleman Park and Dogwood Park have pavilions you can rent for special occasions.

Other parks in Cornelius include Arboretum Park, Steamboat Park, Ryland Park, Free Orchard City Park, Tarrybrooke Park, and Water Park.

During the summer months, Cornelius offers opportunities at its local farms for picking strawberries, lilies, lavender, and other produce.

While you're taking a break from the wedding planning process, you can also visit nearby attractions like the American Advertising Museum, Portland Art Museum, and the Oregon History Center.
