Irondale is small community, conveniently located just five miles east of Birmingham, and we found some great, budget-friendly resources to help you with the wedding planning process.

The local Walmart is a good place to start, as it features a small section with affordable wedding supplies, such as disposable plates, wedding napkins, and cake toppers. Walmart's bakery can also create custom wedding cakes, cookies, and other treats for your big day.

Both Irondale Cafe and Green Acres Cafe Irondale offer classic Southern comfort foods like fried chicken, chicken pot pie, hushpuppies, and homemade peach cobbler, which makes either an excellent choice for casual engagement parties and rehearsal dinners.

Irondale is home to several parks, including Beacon Park and Ellard Park, both of which can be reserved for special occasions. You can also rent the Old YMCA Pavilion.

Irondale is in close proximity to major area attractions, all of which can be easily visited in a day trip to Birmingham. Make sure you check out Southern Museum of Flight, Birmingham Museum of Art, and Sloth Furnaces National Historic Landmark.

If you prefer to stay in Irondale, you can go shopping at Irondale Plaza Shopping Center, relax at Irondale Public Library, or attend one of the community's annual events, such as Whistle Stop Festival.
