The city of Raytown is conveniently located just six miles southwest of Independence and eight miles southeast of Kansas City, Missouri, so you are close to major attractions and shopping areas.

However, Raytown has some great resources of its own to help you with the wedding planning process, including florists, wedding photographers, caterers, and wedding venues.

The Bordner is a great wedding venue, as it is just minutes from major cities and hotels, and offers a private parking lot, over 7,000 square feet of event space, manicured gardens, and a private kitchen for caterers.

If you are on a tight budget, the Raytown HyVee is an excellent resource for hors d'oeuvres platters, custom cookies and cakes, and wedding flowers.

Raytown has numerous parks for you to enjoy during your free time, including Super Splash USA, C. Lee Kenagy Park, Coleman Park, Little Blue Trace Park, Rice Tremonti Farm Home, and Raytown BMX Track.

Both Kenagy Park and Coleman park have covered shelters you can rent for special events. The city also hosts events such as the Annual Fishing Derby at Kenagy Lake.
